On 1st October 2015 Mr. Zhanyi Fu (Vice-President of IRE) and Mr. Lei Jiang (Secretary-general) as representative of the International Renewable Energy e.V. (IRE) visited the Bundesverband Wärmepumpe e.V. (BWP). Mr. Karl-Heinz Stawiarski (Executive Director of BWP) and Mr. Dr. Martin Sabel (Referent for geothermal energy of BWP) greeted us and discussed with us.
The Bundesverband Wärmepumpe (BWP) e.V. is an association with approximately 500 members based in Berlin. It stands for professional interests of companies along the entire value chain in connection with heat pumps. These include the German heat pump industry (manufacturers/distributors), energy supply companies, the drilling companies and supplier, heating engineer SHK + electric, energy consultants, planners, experts, architects, associations and prefabricated house builders. Suppliers and users inform each other by BWP. The market penetration of heat pump technology is the primary goal of the BWP.
At the meeting, Mr. Dr. Martin Sabel introduced us the Bundesverband Wärmepumpe e.V.. Mr. Karl-Heinz Stawiarski presented us the development of the German heat pump industry, according to statistics of 2013 in Germany a total of 788000 individuals and companies used heat pumps; More than 5000 employees were engaged in the heat pump sector; The turnover of 2013 amounted to about 1.82 billion euros in the heat pump industry in Germany.
Mr. Zhanyi Fu introduced also the development of Chinese heat pump industry. The two sides exchanged the ideas of large heat pump projects and technologies.
Both sides agreed that Bundesverband Wärmepumpe e.V. (BWP) and International Renewable Energy e.V. (IRE) will build a professional platform for the sector of heat pumps together.
At the end of the meeting Mr Karl-Heinz Stawiarski invited us to the 13. Heat Pump Forum on 3rd-4th December 2015 in Berlin.
